The Pizza

The pizza

I once bought a pizza
and it spoke to me
It said “don’t put me in you tum”
please don’t do that to me,

It said it was a parent
with kids not two, but three
It asked “how will they grow up
If you consume all of me”.

It asked to be excused
away from my bulging plate,
It said that if I let it go
It would always be my mate.

It also said if it were me
and I was in it’s place,
would I really like it
If the pizza fed its face?

Well I sat and thought and pondered
to what it had said to me,
but then I just thought “no I’m hungry”
and ate it for my tea.
